Prismlab's national key research and development plan - "Micro-nano structure additive manufacturing process and equipment" project officially launched!

time:2019-11-03

On November 3, the national key R&D plan--the launching meeting of the micro-nano structure additive manufacturing process and equipment project was held in the Shanghai World Expo Center. In the morning, Shanghai Prismlab China Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Plysheng) as the project leader united 7 universities including Southeast University, University of Science and Technology, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, East China University of Science and Technology, Nanjing University, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and Changchun University of Science and Technology. The university, as well as Suzhou Saifei Group Co., Ltd., reported to the members of the participating experts on the specific implementation plan of the project.

Prof. Li Dichen, a project responsibility expert, and Professor Chen Yunfei, deputy dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering of Southeast University, co-chaired the meeting. Mr. Hou Feng, Chairman of the project leader, Mr. Hou Feng, gave a welcome speech. The project leader and project leader respectively focused on micro-nano 3D printing. Reporting presentations on common technologies, cutting-edge technologies, key technologies and equipment, and application demonstrations.

Director of the High Technology Research and Development Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Director Chen Zhili, Director Lu Weihua, Professor Lin Xin from Northwestern Polytechnical University, Director Liu Chengliang of the Institute of Mechanical Design and Knowledge Engineering of Shanghai Jiaotong University, Vice President Liu Zhifeng of Hefei University of Technology, Professor Liu Jichang of Hunan University, etc. Attend this meeting and give guidance on the follow-up work of the project.

At the meeting, as the project supervisor, Director Chen Zhili of the High Technology Research and Development Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology pointed out that the project declaration is difficult and the project is not easy to come by. As the project sponsor, I hope that Prismlab will play the role of the project leader and coordinate and coordinate. The supervision work has played an active role in guiding and leading the research on micro-nano 3D printing technology.

After listening to the report, the members of the expert group affirmed the feasibility of the follow-up work of the project, and put forward valuable opinions on the difficulties of micro-nano 3D printing technology. At the same time, experts said that micro-nano 3D printing has been highly concerned by relevant departments and the community. The project will have a profound impact on the development of biomedical, wearable devices, biotechnology, microelectronics, etc. Difficult to continue to make new breakthroughs.

After the meeting, the project was officially launched under the witness of relevant leaders in Shanghai. At the launching ceremony, Ms. Lu Weihua, the representative of the Ministry of Science and Technology, expressed her congratulations on the successful application of the Principal R&D plan, and hoped that Prismlab could work hard to set an example and make a model.

The main difference between micro-nano 3D printing technology and "traditional" 3D printing is that the accuracy of micro-nano 3D printing can reach micron or even sub-micron level. This feature enables micro-nanoscale 3D printing to produce microscopic devices such as microfluidic chips, cell holders, microsensors, etc., which will become the main force for future 3D printing.

Micro-nano manufacturing has always been at the forefront of the world's science and technology, and can obtain different characteristics from the macro scale. Conventional processes currently use a mems process similar to chip manufacturing, which is very costly and difficult to process complex three-dimensional structures. Prismlab will use its advanced micro-nano 3D printing technology to make the customization of complex parts easier, and the production speed is thousands of times faster than the "two-photon micro-nano 3D printing technology". It is precisely because of this cross-age technology that Prismlab has won the favor of review experts and stands out in many strong hands.
